NISSAN NEWS: Nissan is introducing an autonomous driving system, with plans to bring it to the US in the future!

For the second year in a row, Nissan has earned more awards than any other manufacturer in the Vincentric "Best Fleet Value in America" awards. Now in its 12 year, the award program identifies best-in-class lifecycle costs in order to help organizations select the best vehicles for their fleet needs. Vincentric performs the cost of ownership analysis on over 2,400 vehicle configurations based on typical fleet use, including factors such as depreciation, fuel, maintenance and repairs.

Heisman Trophy winners Marcus Allen, Tony Dorsett, George Rogers, Charlie Ward and Danny Wuerffel joined for Humanity and Nissan to build a real "Heisman House" alongside Atlanta resident and future Habitat homeowner Kellecia Shannon. The legendary athletes, together with soccer legend Pavel Pardo, also led a youth football and soccer clinic in collaboration with Nissan and the Heisman Trophy Trust. The clinic and build culminated Habitat's first nationwide campaign, Home is the Key, which ran throughout April, gathering corporate sponsors, celebrities and Habitat homeowners across the country for activities and build events. In addition, for every share of #HomeIsTheKey on social media, Nissan donated $1 to Habitat all month long.

It’s a bear in traffic. When driving the GT-R as it should be driven, no problem. Stomp the gas, it takes off like a rocket and you just have to get ready for second gear, which comes in about two seconds. But in traffic, holy smokes, in traffic it’s a rocket just itching to take off. I sat on the freeway in bumper-to-bumper traffic for an hour yesterday and boy does this thing just want to run free. It’s the dual-clutch’s fault as usual, but this is one car that I wouldn’t give up the DCT because when it’s stretching its legs, it’s awesome.

Nissan has a hit with the Rogue Crossover. It tops in the compact crossover market so far in 2017, beating the stalwarts from Honda and Toyota. So to try and further its lead, Nissan adds a hybrid model and gives all the Rogues a face-lift.

The third generation of Nissan’s mid-sized Maxima has sold in record numbers since being introduced two years ago, and the styling, capabilities and positioning of the car will no doubt continue. Nissan has made some modifications to content packages and refined some of the technology in the car, such as adding Apple CarPlay and expanding their driver attention alerting program to more models.

The limited production GT-R Track Edition makes its U.S. debut at the New York International Auto Show. The 2017 GT-R Track Edition is designed to deliver a higher level of performance than the GT-R Premium and features elements of the flagship GT-R NISMO. The GT-R Track Edition includes NISMO-tuned 4-wheel independent suspension, 20-inch NISMO forged aluminum-alloy wheels, dry carbon-fiber rear spoiler, standard 565-horsepower hand-assembled twin-turbo VR38DETT 3.8-liter V6 engine with Titanium exhaust system, and a unique red and black interior treatment with leather-appointed Recaro® front bucket seats.

Nissan once again received the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award, the highest honor given to top organizations dedicated to protecting the environment by making their operations more energy efficient.

The new 370Z Heritage Edition is offered in choice of Chicane Yellow or Magnetic Black exterior colors, with yellow interior trim and custom graphics. The Heritage Edition also incorporates enhancements to the 370Z Coupe for the 2018 model year, including new headlight and rear combination light treatment, new rear fascia paint scheme, smoke chrome door handles and new EXEDY® high-performance clutch (manual transmission). The 2018 370Z Coupe goes on sale in spring 2017.

The all-new TITAN half-ton pickup was announced today as the "Best Pickup Truck" category winner of the MotorWeek 2017 Drivers' Choice Awards at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. Nissan has donated $25,000 to the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Institute (MMEI) to support ongoing mentoring and academic training efforts of students across the state. Since 2013, Nissan has donated more than $85,000 to the organization.
