2016 Nissan Maxima in San Diego

THE ALL NEW 2016 NISSAN MAXIMA

THE 4-DOOR SPORTS CAR IS BACK
It challenges the conventional notion of what a 4-door sedan is. With 300 horsepower, a performance tuned suspension, a luxurious driver's cockpit loaded with technology, striking aerodynamic styling, and a Sport mode setting that'll get your heart racing, it really isn't a sedan after all. It's the 4-Door Sports Car.

00-HP 3.5L V6 engine
Under the hood lies the beating heart: Nissan's legendary VQ V6 engine. From sodium-filled exhaust valves and anodized pistons, to the high-flow tuned induction system, more than 60% of the engine's components have been
re-designed for the all-new Maxima. It even borrows some performance technology from the mighty GT-R®. This 300HP powerhouse exhilarates from idle to redline.

All-New Xtronic CVT
Forget everything you ever knew, and everything you ever heard, about Continuously Variable Transmissions. Completely re-engineered for both enthusiast and economist, Maxima's all-new CVT features dynamic step shifting, wider gear ratio coverage, and an adaptive shift controller. The result: more distinctive shift points, a more connected, spirited driving experience, and increased fuel economy.

Sport Mode
Shift Maxima's Drive Mode Selector into Sport and it's like kicking in the afterburners. Throttle response gets sharper, steering gets heavier, shifts get quicker, and the engine growl becomes a roar. Switch back to Normal Mode and super-sonic gives way to super-smooth, super-refined, and surprisingly fuel-efficient.

Dynamic Handling
Lower, lighter, and tighter,
Maxima is engineered to not only take corners, but own them. An
all-new rear suspension features monotube dampers-the kind of component you'd usually only find in high-end sports cars. And Maxima SR takes handling to another level, with higher torsional rigidity than the Porsche Cayman®.*
*Torsional rigidity is in comparison to the 2007-2012 Porsche Cayman.

2016 MAXIMA EXTERIOR

THE ART OF FLIGHT

To design a sports-car built to fly, Nissan designers visited the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels®**. The cockpit design of their aircraft is echoed in the wrap-around design of the Maxima's. Externally, Maxima is lowered, sculpted, and streamlined to achieve a sweeping aerodynamic profile that has more than a little jet fighter to it. To bring all this inspiration to life, a special metal stamping technique was developed, adding the distinctive fighter-jet sweep to its body line and deeply scalloped doors.

**Blue Angels® is a registered mark of the Department of the Navy. Use does not represent any endorsement, expressed or implied, by the Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, or any other United States government agency.

Diamond-Cut Finish Wheels and Custom Tires
Maxima SR's 19" aluminum-alloy wheels get their mirror-effect from a unique diamond-cut finish. That uniqueness is carried over to the tires-specially developed Goodyear Eagle
F1 Asymmetric tires that help give you razor-sharp steering response and outstanding grip.

Floating Roof
One look at Maxima's floating roof appearance and the aeronautical influence is clear. The
A, B and C-pillars meld seamlessly into the glasswork so the roof appears to hover over
the cabin, just like the canopy of a fighter jet.

Signature Lighting
Up front, the boomerang-shaped headlights feature a captivating LED signature line that stays illuminated at all times. In back, LEDs also accent the wraparound taillights, and "4DSC" is embossed in the lamp housings, front and rear-a subtle reminder of what the all-new Maxima is all about.

2016 MAXIMA INTERIOR

FASTEN YOUR SEAT BELTS

Inspired by the layout of a modern fighter jet, Maxima surrounds you in its luxurious, yet functional cockpit. A deeply bolstered sport seat helps keep you in place, the tall, angled center stack envelopes you and delivers all necessary information clearly and concisely, and every button, switch, and dial is exactly where you need it.

7° Center Console Tilt
The Nissan Maxima is a driver-focused car, so we rotated the center console 7° to focus on the driver. Inspired by the GT-R® cockpit, this subtle shift perfectly positions every button, knob, dial and display toward the driver for immediate, intuitive information and command.

Display Commander
Standard on the all-new Maxima, the Display Commander* is designed to make control of your NissanConnectSM** system simpler and more intuitive. Positioned just behind the gearshift, it lets you toggle up and down, side-to-side, rotate, scroll through, and control your infotainment system, without the need to look down or touch the display screen.

Zero Gravity Seating With Available Diamond-quilted Inserts
Maxima's premium sport-styled front seats feature available diamond-quilted leather inserts, or you can opt for luxurious Alcantara inserts, a material usually seen only in the highest of high-end performance cars. They also take advantage of Nissan's innovative Zero Gravity design, which provides a natural, neutral seating position that helps to both take pressure off your lower back and reduce fatigue.

2016 MAXIMA SAFETY

INNOVATION THAT LOOKS OUT FOR YOU

Like every Nissan vehicle, Maxima comes equipped with a suite of standard safety, driving, and convenience features designed to inspire confidence behind the wheel, and help make every ride better, safer, and more enjoyable.

AN EXTRA SET OF EYES

Driver Attention Alert

An American Automobile Association study estimates that an average of 328,000 automobile accidents can be attributed to fatigued driving every year on American roads. That's why we developed the Driver Attention Alert system, or DAA*. This forward-thinking technology works by monitoring your steering patterns. Should the system detect any unusual steering activity, it will alert you audibly with a chime, and visually by lighting a coffee cup icon on your display, letting you know it may be time for a break.

Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW)

PFCW can alert you to potential risks up ahead by not only monitoring the speed and distance of the vehicle in front of you, but the vehicle in front of that one as well. Although that vehicle may be obscured from your view, PFCW's sensors can detect if it suddenly and unexpectedly slows, giving you time to react to the situation.*
*Available feature. PFCW is intended to warn you before a collision occurs; it cannot prevent a collision. Speed & other limitations apply. See owner's manual for details.

Forward Emergency Braking (FEB)

Using radar technology to keep an eye on your speed and proximity to the vehicle ahead, FEB* gives you audio and visual display warnings to help you reduce your speed if necessary. If a collision is unavoidable, this feature will engage the brakes to help reduce both the speed of the impact and the severity of a collision.
*Available feature. FEB cannot prevent accidents due to carelessness or dangerous driving techniques. It may not provide warning or braking in certain conditions. Speed limitations apply.
